I have chosen to pick the horror genre as I believe it will
give me the chance to be creative and produce an affective opening. Also I will
be able to include many different aspects of filming and many affects. Also to
make it thrilling I can use many different shot types and angles to add
different effects on the audience. Also a range of camera angles will help me
to intrigue the audience in different ways. Furthermore with horror it affects
the viewers in a very different way compared to many other types of films like
romance and comedy ; many people tend to watch them at a specific time of the
day however other films tend to be watched during any time frame. Overall
horror films are extremely intriguing and hook the viewer very close to the beginning which makes them
watch to watch the rest as they are ‘hooked’ and I think we could use editing
and lighting to chance how it is seen by the audience.
